RevHang ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use the RevHang mobile application and website.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

Display name, username, email address, and profile photo
City and state (optional, entered by you)
Bio and website link (optional)
Vehicle preferences (cars, bikes, or both)

Vehicle & Build Information

Year, make, model, trim, and color of your vehicles
Modifications (parts, brands, costs, install dates)
Build photos and videos you upload
Build updates, milestones, and specs you log

Content You Create

Posts, photos, and videos shared to the feed
Marketplace listings including photos and part descriptions
Map pins — location, description, and photos you attach
Comments, replies, and messages to other users

Location Data

GPS coordinates when you choose to drop a map pin or confirm a meet location
We do not track your location continuously or in the background

Usage Information

Device type, operating system, and app version
Anonymous usage patterns via Firebase Analytics (screens visited, feature usage)
Push notification tokens for delivering in-app notifications

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and maintain your account
To display your profile, builds, and posts to other users
To enable the map, feed, marketplace, and messaging features
To send push notifications (likes, follows, messages, meet reminders)
To improve the app through anonymous usage analytics
To enforce our Terms of Service and community guidelines

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these circumstances:

With other RevHang users — your profile, builds, posts, and map pins are visible to other users according to your privacy settings
With service providers — we use Google Firebase for database, storage, authentication, and analytics; Google Maps for map rendering; and Expo for app delivery and push notifications
For legal compliance — if required by law or to protect the safety of our users

4. Third-Party Services

RevHang uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage, analytics, and push notifications
Google Maps Platform — map display and location search
Expo — app build platform and push notification delivery
Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google — optional third-party authentication

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, vehicles, posts, and personal data are permanently removed from our systems. Some data (such as comments on others' posts) may remain in anonymized form.

6. Children's Privacy

RevHang is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

Access — you can view all your profile and build data within the app
Correction — you can edit your profile, vehicles, and posts at any time
Deletion — you can delete your account from Settings → Delete Account
Portability — contact us to request a copy of your data

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and Firebase security rules to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take all reasonable steps to protect your information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of RevHang after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
